| Following the end of the civil war and Lenin coming to power,
Russia was changed into the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The provinces
were split up and made self governing, but they all worked together in the
Union, somewhat similar to the United States, only communist. The USSR formed
New Economic Policies to bring up the status quo. |
