| In January, thousands of people in protest went to Czar Nicholas’
winter palace, and the guards outside mowed them down. This showed all of
Russia that the Czar was not their friend, and the workers hated the land
lords, officials, factory owners, and anyone who represented power or wealth.
Czar Nicholas gave into their demands somewhat, but creating the Duma, a
pretend representative body. |
