| In Versailles, Otto Von Bismarck signed a peace treaty following
the Franco-Prussian war. It declared France’s surrender, and that
Germany was now a country in its own right. Bismarck demanded more money
than existed from France as war repayment, but never got it, and instead
lobbed off parts of France to include in their empire. |
