| Ended the Thirty Years War and allowed the parties to come
to agreements. It blocked the counter reformation and declared that Catholicism,
Lutheranism and Calvinism were the only acceptable faiths. The Holy Roman
Empire was entirely dissolved and split up into hundreds of little sections.
Many of the countries were ruled by a Hapsburg, leading to the eventual
unified Germany and Austria. |
